Steven Vermeyen

Steven Vermeyen’s drawings in the Wired Heads series are richly worked and layered. Charcoal, ink, oil pastel, collage, paraffin and ballpoint pen are encased in epoxy.

As a result, faces appear and disappear, simultaneously sharp and blurred. Their history remains partly hidden, suspended in the material.
