Three voices in images
Painting, photography and mixed media come together in an exhibition where each artist brings their own rhythm and perspective.
Sarah Vanslembrouck
Sarah Vanslembrouck (born 1971) lives in Ghent and has a long-held love of drawing and painting. In 2021, she decided to give this passion room to grow at the Academy of Visual Arts in Ghent.
Painting creates moments of stillness and focus for her. This inner calm is reflected in her work: restrained colours, simple subjects and an atmosphere that invites reflection.
Steve Van den Berghe
Steve Van den Berghe (born 1972) began painting during the pandemic. What started with drawing grew into a passion at the Academy of Visual Arts in Ghent in 2021.
The human figure is central to his work, always with a twist. Expressive, contrasting colours catch your eye while leaving room for your own story.
Dimitri Severyns
Dimitri Severyns (born 1971) is a natural image-maker. His passion for photography and art began during weekend classes at the academy in Eeklo and later took him to the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent.
His images often combine photography and mixed media. They begin with a fascination for nature, light and textures — sometimes transformed, sometimes left untouched.
